Recently, I have been recieveing a huge number of request, concerns, and questions regarding the H1N1 Flu and Vaccine. At Dynamic Training & Rehabilitation, we are about prevention through alternative measures.
Here is a list of modalities and therapies that may be used in conjuction with other forms of treatment as prevention to FLU during this season:
1) Acupuncture Treatments and Central Nervous system
Acupuncture also has been documented to affect the parts of the central nervous system related to sensation and involuntary body functions, such as immune reactions and processes whereby a person's blood pressure, blood flow, and body temperature are regulated.
2) Massage Therapy
Massage Therapy helps to encourage circulation and drainage in the lymph system, helping it to work more efficiently to remove waste and toxins from the body. This is particularly beneficial if you are trying to fight an infection.
3) Nutrition
Multi-Carotenoids (Vitamin A) - It helps to strengthens the immune system for the nose, airways , throat & lung.
Vitamin C - It is a strong antioxidant that helps to boost the immune system to fight virus.
Lecithin Vitamin E - Vitamin E help to protect the lung and strengthens its function.
Vitamin B Complex - Help the blood circulation thus enhances the function of the immune system and lung. - It also help to calm nerves to reduce stress. ( Depression & Stress can weaken the immune system. )Protein - To supply needed amino acids for healing
Garlic - A Natural antibiotic and immune system enhance which helps to fight flu infection.
Echinacea - Helps to boost the immune system.
4) Activity
A healthy immune system also needs regular exercise. Studies show that physically active people get fewer colds each year than do their sedentary peers. But don't overdo it. Intense workouts or prolonged endurance exercise steps up the production of stress hormones, which can hinder the body's ability to fight infection
5) Chiropractic Adjustments
Seeing your chiropractor on a regular basis can lead to an increase immune system and central nervous system
